Hunters Bay Sport Horses is privately owned and operated by Nadeem Helfer and was opened in 2006. Easily found off of I-81 exit 302 in Middletown, VA it offers the location and facilities to train or buy your next champion. Nadeem focuses on finding, training and selling child/amateur friendly horses that can fulfill you dreams and fit your budget.

Riding Lessons

  Along with the sales portion of the business Nadeem offers a wonderful lesson program for all ages and levels as well as specialized boarding and training options.  Hunters Bay has several made show horses that are available for on farm leases as well as many lovely school horses.  Hunters Bay continues to teach lessons through out the year both private and group lessons on our made school horses and ponies as well as boarders and ship in clients on their horses. 

Riding Camp

In 2014 selected as the Equestrian Center to fill the need for Frederick County Parks and Recreation Youth Summer Camp Program.  The program was a tremendous success teaching dozen children for week long programs that taught basic horsemanship skills, riding and sportsmanship.  The program offers a great introduction to children ages 7 and up.  Due the huge demand and early camp signups for the following sessions we decided to add a four day spring break camp for 2015  and continue to offer this, to coincide with the Frederick County School Districts Spring Break.  This past year we added a Spring Teen Age Riding Five Week Session as well as an Adult Riding Program also through the Frederick County Parks and Rec. department.

This year we will continue to offer all of these again and perhaps even a fall event or activity.  If one is not posted in the fall activity program please feel free to call Nadeem directly to see availability. 

Teen Riding Club will be geared towards teen age riders that want to continue to improve in Equestrian Sports such as show jumping and hunter seat equitation.  This is offered on week day evenings and runs in month long semiprivate lesson packages.
